Hackers & Painters is a highly recommended read. Paul Graham's essays are simple, straightforward, insightful, funny and poignant. I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying them.Being a bit of a computer nerd who found solace in music at an early age - I escaped much of the fate of most nerds. But some of his material on nerddom and computer science in general has led me to redefine some of my passions about work and life.
