Whatever happened to serendipity?

I couldn't find the very recent draft I'd published of this link to an outsanding article on serindipity and the moblog. Ergo, here's another post. Will this one disappear too? Here's hoping we don't loose another lifetime of effort on vapor-posting. Yes, I'm aware that rarely are these posts anything more than a teensy-weensy one-off. But this post is different. I'm actually referring to something I'd done in the past, in an earlier post no less.

Like we have time to just spend hours and hours surfing the web and then pondering the lint in our navel over some newly-rehashed idea we came across before we just spew it all back again, in no particular order, with no discernable added value. Right.

At any rate.... Not too long ago, I'd been questioning of myself, "what is it about blogs?" Well, this article is the answer. And its a damn near definitive one too.

One good answer deserves another, and in that vein. Had I never come across this article... I never would've tried posting it as a quick draft. Had I never posted it as a quick draft... I never would've had time to think to myself, "That draft needs an update." Had I never thought, I never would've gone back into Audrey to see if I could access the new interface from Voyager.

And lo - you get the answer: Serindipity enabled this, the very first, inaugural, "Experimental Post from Audrey via the Lofi Interface"

blog^2

Should it really be so hard to get data connectivity from a T-Mobile T610 GPRS Bluetooth OSX Powerbook Palm Tungsten T?? I'll make it easier, let's just try the T610 and the Tungsten.

Still to hard? I guess so.

out-spoken

out-spoken turned me on to a great little widget hosted by Danvine for testing a page on Safari. Wow - gotta hand it to people who make free stuff on the internet. Doesn't get any better than that.

I should be so.... Magnanimous.

This tool must take all kinds of migs and megs and memory!!

ambient411.com

So what is it about blogs? Take today for example: been looking for something to post on, not having much time for leisure browsing on the web....

Came across a link sent over by my wife, and voila! I'm seeing all kinds of cool gadgets and geek-fest goble-de-gook!

Now i'm pouring over ambient411.com for ambient device information, discussion and developments. I'm completely hooked - this stuff is total dorkbait, but I love it.

Hopeless. I'm completely hopelessly addicted to geeky internet toys, and I'm wondering if this blog is one of them..... :)
